Surinder Singh is the proud owner of Valley Precision Works. Like many others, he came to this country in 1985, in hopes to one day live the “American Dream” he had been dreaming about in India. He hoped for better job opportunities for himself and his family, so he could give them a comfortable lifestyle. Surinder gained the skillset needed for this line of work in India, where his father, Harbans Singh, owned a machine shop, Gill Auto Industries Pvt. Ltd., in Delhi. However, coming to America and beginning this business was no easy feat. He began his career by working day and night, often double-shifts for five years in various machine shops around the Houston area.

When he was ready, he purchased his first small manual lathe machine and a drill machine and began working from his garage. In 1994, Surinder gained enough confidence and experience to purchase his own machine shop under the name Valley Precision Works.

Surinder Singh was born and raised in Delhi, India in a family of 7. He earned his Bachelor’s in Business at the University of Delhi in 1978. During his studies, he was working at his father’s machine shop part-time, further perfecting his machining and business skills. After getting married, Surinder moved to the U.S. in 1985 with hopes to building a better future for his growing family.

In 1994, Surinder, with the full support of his wife, purchased Valley Precision Works, Inc.  Following their father’s (and grandfather’s) footsteps, Jagdeep Singh (JD) and Prabhjot Singh (PJ) are passionately committed to the family business.
